Quang Ninh stops studying and planning a series of projects in Van Don

Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee has just approved in writing the proposal of the Economic Zone Authority of Van Don on the withdrawal and cancellation of detailed research, planning, policies that have expired or are no longer consistent with the general plan. as well as the planning of Van Don economic zone for 7 projects approved by the Provincial People's Committee.

7 projects withdrawn or canceled include: The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) project in Ha Long commune, approved by the Provincial People's Committee for research on January 20, 2017; Hi-tech Medicine - Pharmaceutical Industrial Park in Van Don district was approved by the province on September 24, 2019; The high-class commercial complex of the welcome gate peninsula, Cai Rong town was approved by the province for research on April 26, 2019; Port and urban area project north of Cai Bau island was approved for research by the province on January 30, 2018; The urban area in Minh Chau commune was approved for research by the province on March 11, 2016; Golf course, eco-tourism area at Minh Chau island - Quan Lan, approved for research policy on February 22, 2019; The Van Don high-tech, free trade and smart urban complex was approved by the province on February 11, 2019.

According to the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, the guidelines for studying and planning the above projects have expired and are past the prescribed time limit, and are not suitable with the adjustment of the general planning of Van Don economic zone until 2040. was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 266 dated February 14, 2020 and the zoning plans, master plans and land use plans of Van Don district have been approved by competent authorities.

Provincial People's Committee Quang Ninh assigned the Management Board of Van Don Economic Zone to notify relevant units, investors, and coordinate in implementation; Assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant departments, agencies and sectors, the People's Committee of Van Don district urgently reviews and accelerates the planning work (subdivision planning, detailed project planning) as a basis for working. State management over planning, land, investment, construction, and investment attraction in Van Don Economic Zone to ensure compliance with current legal regulations.
